Because of my GDM I'm forced to diet. And ampalaya is one of the best food that is good for diabetes.
Here's another dish hopefully will satisfy my tastebuds and normal blood sugar.
- saute garlic, onion, ginger in chicken fats
- saute the chicken
- add some patis and pepper for taste
- simmer
- add ampalaya

Add ampalaya (submerged in water with salt to remove bitterness)

Chicken Misua Soup
even though its hot I suddenly craved for Misua soup. Usually we used pork giniling but since its not available I used chicken thigh instead.
for broth: Boil chicken thigh with salt and pepper
set aside broth and shred the chicken
saute garlic and onion
Add the shredded chicken thigh
add patis
then add broth
let it boil then add the misua
wait until misua is soft and cooked

paksiw na Gindara
Garlic, Onion, Ginger, pepper, vinegar and sugar -- add everything to the gindara fish and let it simmer.
